Your support should not cost you your privacy.

The official petition

Auckland Gondola does not collect petition signatures. Every public petition link on this website leads to the approved petition hosted by New Zealand Parliament. Information supplied there is collected and handled by the Office of the Clerk under Parliament's privacy terms.

Petition click-through metric

We count anonymous click-throughs from this website to the official petition. The metric stores daily aggregate totals only. It does not store the page you clicked from, your name, email address, user agent or IP address. A session-storage marker prevents repeat clicks in the same browser tab session from being counted again and is removed when that session ends.

Local supporter registration is closed

The earlier campaign supporter form has been disabled and no new local registrations are accepted. Existing campaign registrations are not official petition signatures and will not be copied or transferred to Parliament.

Existing supporter records

Previously collected identifying fields remain encrypted in the project database. They are not displayed publicly, sold, used for marketing or transferred to Parliament. They will be reviewed and securely deleted within 12 months of the campaign's final submission.

Your rights

You can ask what information we hold about you, request a correction, or withdraw your support. Contact details for those requests will be added before public launch.

Service providers and breaches

The website uses hosting and anti-abuse providers that may process technical request data. If a privacy breach could cause serious harm, the campaign will notify affected people and the Office of the Privacy Commissioner as required.
